The construction of Cavite State University General Hospital is now set to begin as the Department of Health (DOH) Center for Health Development IV-A (CHD-IVA) released its Permit to Construct (PTC), received by the University President, Dr. Hernando D. Robles and Dr. Romeo Sanchez, Director for University Health Services on 10 January 2023.
Soon to rise in the location of the Old College of Criminal Justice (CCJ) Building, the proposed six-storey facility will start its construction as a Level 1 hospital (administrative, clinical, nursing, and ancillary services included) with a total floor area of 12,000 square meters, 116-beds capacity, and will cater ICU, NICU, and CT-Scan as add on services as per the approval of the Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau of DOH.
The said facility, which broke ground during the 116th founding anniversary of the university on 19 April 2022 graced by DOH-CALABARZON Regional Director, Dr. Ariel Valencia and OIC-Director of the Health Human Resource Development Bureau (HHRDB), Dr. Pretchell P. Tolentino, will serve not only the people of the town of Indang but also the whole Cavite community alongside the establishment of the CvSU-College of Medicine in pursuit of boosting the public’s access to quality health and medical services.
